The auspicious festival of Navaratri begins with the ritual of Ghatsthapana. Later, for all nine days, devotees worship the holy Kalash. This ritual is performed to invoke Goddess Durga.

On the day of Vijayadashmi, a ritual called Ghatasthapana is performed by devotees. In this ritual, devotees offer the coconut, betel nuts, and coins which were placed during Ghatsthapana in kalash, to Goddess Durga temple. Ghatasthapana Purn Karm will be held on 7th  October 2019.
