Navratri Day 8 - Goddess Mahagauri Puja

On 6th October 2019  is the eighth day of Goddess Mahagauri. Goddess Mahagauri is the eighth manifestation of Goddess Durga. The name Mahagauri implies, the one who is extremely fair.

Meaning of the mantra

Goddess Mahagauri who rides on a white bull wears pure white clothes, the patron of happiness, kindly enlighten me.

The colour to be worn on the eighth day is Pink. Pink symbolizes charm and outer beauty. Offer coconuts or sweets made of coconut to the goddess. It is believed that worshipping this form of goddess fulfils all the desires.
