Based on my earlier experience of Ganesh Chaturthi and Navaratri I had ordered a puja kit for Deepavali puja also. This kit is a complete set of all required items packed wonderfully. Really a very helpful kit.

Durga Puja is performed by devotees seeking protection from evil forces and to overcome the harsh obstacles in life. Goddess Durga’s presence is believed to protect ourselves and our family from harm or mishaps and is known to provide us with the courage to face any difficulty in life.

The nine attributes of Durga are depicted in our ancient Hindu scriptures as Navadurgas:

  1. Shailaputri – Worshiped on the 1st day of Navratri.
  2. Brahmacharini– Worshiped on the 2nd day of Navratri.
  3. Chandraghanta– Worshiped on the 3rd day of Navratri.
  4. Kushmanda– Worshiped on the 4th day of Navratri.
  5. Skandamata– Worshiped on the 5th day of Navratri.
  6. Katyayani– Worshiped on the 6th day of Navratri.
  7. Kalaratri– Worshiped on the 7th day of Navratri.
  8. Mahagauri– Worshiped on the 8th day of Navratri.
  9. Siddhidhatri– Worshiped on the 9th day of Navratri.
